Veena Hayat Malik who a daughter of Muslim Leaguer Sardar Shaukat Hayat andgrand daughter of Sir Sikander Hayat who was chief minister of united Punjab was allegedly gang-raped by some criminals on the order of Irfanullah Marwat who was serving as adviser on home affairs in the Jam Sadiq Ali ministry at that time. Benazir Bhutto who was very dishearten due to Veena Hayat’s rape brought the case into the National Assembly as human rights groups and non-governmental organizations also raised voice for Veena Hayat but no result has still come in this regard as case is still pending for than 11 years. Vena Hayat pointed towards Irfan Marwat as a main culprit of her rape as according to the investigations and inquiries Marwat was found to be involve in her rape case. In this regard, Marwat completely denied charges over him and released on bail but should not be allow to appoint at any public office.
On the other hand, Marwat also reacted by blaming Veena Hayat for having an affair with the husband of Benazir Bhutto and claimed that Benazir was behind the incident. However Veena Hayat was a divorced woman at that time as she has two sons with her divorced husband.

Mirza claimed that former Federal Minister Iftekhar Gilani who was associated with Peoples Party and Aitzaz Ahsan were also aware from their affair. Former Interior Minister further said that Benazir Bhutto discussed this matter with Iftekhar Gilani, Aitzaz Ahsan and with him as she was very disturb after coming to know about her husband affair. Benzair said while asking me what you know about this matter, I consider you my brother and your friend is very unfair with me, but I did not tell anything which I knew, Mirza added. It is important here to mention that Zulfiqar Mirza has also claimed recently that Asif Zardari is behind money laundering case of super model Ayan Ali as she used to spend quality time with Zardari.
